A balding pensioner has raved about a hair growth serum for treating her hair loss struggle.

The woman in her late 60s was recommended to use Kerastase’s Genesis Anti-Hairfall Fortifying Serum as she used to have widow’s peak, a V-shaped hairline at the centre of the forehead, and she saw a huge difference before and after using the serum.

The serum, which is available to buy on Amazon, is currently on 30% off and shoppers can get it for £32.90. Made to strengthen hair fibre from the root to tip, the serum activates microcirculation of nutrients to stimulate healthy hair growth.

Kerastase’s Genesis range is designed to meet the needs of women who suffer from reactive hair fall and those who are searching for double action to reduce loss, strengthen hair and reduce breakage.

Reviewing the product, the pensioner was delighted to see hair growing on areas where she always had no hair as she shared: “I was a bit sceptical at first but I’ve seen a big difference especially in the area where I used to have a widows peak. I have taken a photo to try and show this.

“I am 68 years old and always had no hair in the area each side of my fringe. I’ve only used one bottle and was just looking to order another and saw these reviews. I felt I had to write about the difference it has made to me. I recently went to a local hairdressers and she thought I’d been cutting the side of my fringe and I said no that is where my new hair has grown from using the Genesis serum. This hair is quite fine but there is lots of it. I also recommended it to my sister-in-law who is in her 70s and she loves it too.”

The “miracle” pink bottle is enriched with aminexil, ginger root and caffeine; it also revitalises the hair from within the root, calms and reduces scalp irritation, and slows hair loss.

The haircare brand suggests users to apply the treatment once a day for 30 days, in the morning or evening. Distrubite four pipettes to the scalp and gently massage and style your hair as usual. It’s important not to rinse your hair to the serum works to stimulate hair growth.

One shopper was cautious that it’s not cheap for a 30ml bottle but she said: “I am half way through the bottle. And it worked. To be honest, I did not have high expectation as my hair was falling down tremendously but after I used this product like 5-6 days later, falling down almost stopped.”

A second mentioned the pleasant smell of the serum and said she has been using it religously every night. “I also am a girl who’s prone to losing mass amounts of hair in the shower or bath and I can honestly say I’ve noticed a difference in the amount of hair I lose now! I can’t say I’ve noticed my hairs any thicker as of yet but I’m definitely losing less of it!” she added.

But a customer left a lukewarm 3-star and penned: “I use 2 doses and my hair ends up very wet. If you just styled your hair this product will make it very wet, it dries out but will ruin your blow dry.”

Other than Kerastase, beauty brand and it’s a sell-out in the first few weeks after it hit the virtual shelves. The £29 bottle sees 95% of their customers realising a reduction in hair loss and breakage.
